Season 67 review

Written by AGB Procycling at 01:04 30/1-2024

   Season 67 Goals
4 goals for the season - 4 trophy races with 4 different captains in TF
   • Vejle-København – Nordin Pruischer (TF) – Target = Podium, Result = 10th
   • Mito-Tokyo – Herbert Tyre (TF) – Target = Podium, Result = 6th
   • Lappi Sea GP – Ralph Terhorst (TF) – Target = Win, Result = 10th
   o B Goal – Grasse-Toulon – Target = Win, Result = 10th
   • Helsinki GP Mini – Nate Nagas (TF) – Target = Podium, Result = 12th

Overall Result 0/4 goals achieved. A very disappointing season, particularly with 5x hill trophy winner Ralph Terhorst failing to get any results in his TF main goal race.
Other notable results include 6th Bergen Rundtur (Div 1 Classic) with Manuel Jomail in TF, a good, unexpected result from a rider who normally is a team mate. Veteran recruit Buús Béni won the Div 1 race Highlander´s Race to Aberdeen, the only win for the season and a win that forms part of an achievement “The Roughneck”. Herbert Tyre won the Welsh Championship jersey for the 4th time. Lastly, Nordin Pruischer scored third place overall in the Volta ao Porto Sprinting Classification off the back of two second place finishes.
Overall a bad season. Some minor consolations, and it’s clear that Nate Nagas has come to the end of his career as a team leader, with 4 top ten results in classic races but failed to secure a trophy. No induvial rider scored large amounts of points, 8 riders total scoring relatively evenly with the maximum of 366 points from usual team mate Manuel Jomail. A season for the team members getting their own opportunities.

Results summary (this season vs last season):
   S67: 10 results, 1 win, Points: 1926, Rank: 63rd
   S66: 13 results, 3 wins, Points: 1831, Rank: 73st
Lead rider – Manuel Jomail OCM Tour Rank: 285th, OCM Tour Points: 366

Team value + cash: $2,176,214 (last year $2,126,627)
   Up $49,587 (+2.3%)
   Riders: 20 (last year 22)
   Staff: 16 (last year 16)

   Next Season Goals
3 goals for the season - 3 trophy races with 4 different captains in TF
   • Vejle-København – Nordin Pruischer (TF) – Target = Win
10th place last year, looking to improve on that. B goal Volta ao Porto Sprinting Classification – if qualified
   • Mito-Tokyo – Herbert Tyre (TF) – Target = Podium
Podium goal - not many chances remaining for Herbert to get a big win due to age. Last year 6th.
   • Lappi Sea GP – Ralph Terhorst (TF) – Target = Win
Win goal – looking to make it 3 wins. B Goal – Grasse-Toulon – Target – Ralph Terhorst (TF). Podium goal

Future of team. Need to find a place for young talents Nevan Ryles and Bebé Matamba to show their talents, as well as continue the good performance shown from usual team members of the HL and FR teams.
